Zab Spencer brings over 25 years of industry experience to the table. During the 90's he worked with Sony UK artist Andrew Roachford as the band's keyboard and drum programmer in many major recording studios, European festivals, UK and international headline tours. The band worked with iconic producers and mix engineers including Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Pixies) and Michael Brauer where Zab got first hand insight into their legendary processes and techniques.

 

Zab later became tour manager to international world music artists Nitin Sawhney and Natacha Atlas touring their respective bands throughout the UK, Europe, Canada and the USA, including a UK support slot with Sting. Live touring experience allows Zab a unique perspective of artist, band and promotion life, as well as studio recording and music production and how these different worlds connect.

 

Whilst in Los Angeles, Zab used his music production skills to write for major pop production company Harvey Mason Media as well as sound design, audio post production and trailer cues for Hollywood feature films. 

 

In 2011 Zab focused on developing his passion for mixing and interned at the infamous Larrabee Sound Studios in Los Angeles, home at that time to world renowned multi Grammy award winning creative mixing engineers Dave Pensado, Jaycen Joshua and Manny Marroquin. He picked up valuable skills and techniques used by three of the most currently sought after mixing engineers in the industry.

 

Zab worked hands on with some of the very best and has committed his collective knowledge, skills and depth of experience to support independent artists.
